When Love Turns into Hatred Chapter 10

The piercing sound of the alarm rang beside the pillow.

Judson raised his hand and fumbled around the bedside table, but he couldn’t find the familiar glass.

Still in a daze, he mumbled, “Rose…

As soon as the words came out, Judson suddenly woke up..

Judson opened his eyes, his gaze gradually becoming clear. He remembered the name he unconsciously shouted just now, and his eyes instantly darkened.

The phone call continued to ring persistently.

However, Judson’s gaze fell on the empty bedside table.

After so many years, he had grown accustomed to it.

No matter when he woke up, there would always be a glass of purified water by the bedside.

The water wouldn’t be too cold or too hot, usually at a pleasant. temperature. Sometimes, it carried a hint of lemon fragrance.

Phone calls often woke Judson up, so he needed to moisten his throat before answering.

A glass of water had always been there.

But today, Judson couldn’t find it…

He would encounter this situation when he was away on business, but

that was because Rose wasn’t by his side.

Last night, Judson clearly remembered that Rose was sitting on the sofa in the living room when he fell asleep.

Having come back to his senses, Judson answered the phone with an uncommonly hoarse voice. “What’s the matter?”

It was Isidro calling.

“Mr. Roach, Flourish Media has released new evidence, a recording of Ms. Stewart’s phone call. She confessed… about your relationship.”

Judson said that if there was anything from Flourish Media, no matter what time it was, he must be notified first.

Isidro felt that Flourish Media must have gone crazy.

Judson had already sent legal letters. Regardless of the authenticity of the relationship, he made it clear that he didn’t want to be gossiped about.

Normal media, at the very least, would avoid causing trouble, let alone make things worse.

But Flourish Media seemed stubborn and released the follow–up evidence, even in the form of a phone recording.

This wasn’t just a lack of respect for Judson. It was practically slapping him in the face!

After pondering for a few seconds, Judson frowned and said, “Ask Lillian what’s going on.”

“Alright.”

“By the way, the lawyers can move forward with the next step.”

Flourish Media’s intentions were clear. They wanted to go to court with Judson.

Judson would drag them down along with the journalist who wrote that article and leave them penniless!

After coming out of the bathroom, Judson poured himself a glass of iced water and stood by the window.

Under golden sunlight, his pupils were amber, and the icy water flowed down his throat.

Thinking about what Rose said last night, Judson couldn’t help but sneer.

Rose refused to pretend anymore, which was just perfect.

For so many years, except for him, no one had witnessed her calculating and cold–blooded side.

The Roach family had all been fooled by Rose, thinking she was well- behaved, gentle, and sensible. Every time something happened between Rose and Judson, they would put the blame on him.

Little did they know that Rose had the ability to disguise herself and manipulate her way to advantage and avoid harm.

If Rose wanted to reveal her true nature, then Judson would let everyone see it. It wasn’t that Judson didn’t understand the principle of repaying kindness, but Rose was insatiable and malicious, not deserving his gratitude!

Judson came downstairs to the hotel lobby. His attention was involuntarily drawn to a spot of pure white next to him.

Judson turned his head and saw the luxury brand store on the first floor of Carls Hotel, where the model in the window was dressed in a stunning white gown.

“Mr. Roach.”

Isidro came down and only then did Judson shift his gaze back. He nonchalantly lowered his head to adjust his sleeves. “Speak.”

“I just went to Ms. Edwards‘ room and saw the card and this jewelry box on the table.”

Isidro nervously held the bank card and the sapphire–blue box, secretly praying that Judson wouldn’t get angry at the innocent bank card again.

However, Judson only cast a cold glance and said, “Where is she?”

“Ms. Edwards is no longer there. Shall we go look for…”

“No need. Let her be,” Judson sneered.

Playing the same trick again would no longer be exciting.

Did Rose think she could easily provoke Judson with her disappearance?

“Let her be.”

No one was going to accommodate her!

As they left the hotel and got into the car, Judson noticed the hidden reporters lurking in the dark. The cold smile on his face became even more apparent.

Rose was still dreaming of becoming the young lady of the Roach family.

Was she forcing Judson?

If Rose dared to take one more step forward, Judson would drive her away.

Isidro carried a bag from a luxurious store and struggled to keep up with the car.

Inside the bag was the white dress that caught Judson’s unwavering gaze just moments ago.

“Next month, your grandfather will celebrate his 80th birthday,” Isidro explained. His nerves were tense as Judson’s eyes were cold. “If Ms. Edwards attends it in formal attire, it will prevent any misunderstandings that you mistreat her.”

Judson faintly nodded.

Rose was good at pretending to be pitiful. A dress could shut her mouth, which wouldn’t be considered a loss.

The dress was luxurious and expensive. Moreover, it was Rose’s favorite color. For a woman like her, who was full of vanity, wouldn’t resist it.

They returned to Elland City. As soon as they got off the plane, Lillian – tearfully came to pick them up.

Lillian was wearing a flowing long dress with a print of blue forget- me–nots. She fluttered towards them like a butterfly.

“Judson, I’ve been set up.”

The phone call recording released by Flourish Media caused quite a stir online.

Inside the recording, Lillian admitted her relationship with Judson seriously.

In conjunction with Judson’s intention to sue Flourish Media for

spreading rumors, it looked ironic from every angle…

Flourish Media controlled the media and had insinuated through various major media outlets all day.

“Didn’t you say it?” Judson stopped Lillian in her tracks.

Lillian sobbed, “Yes, I did, but I didn’t mean what I said. Rose probably didn’t understand and sent it to the reporters out of context…”

Judson interrupted her, “What does it have to do with Rose?”

Lillian pretended to be surprised. “Judson, don’t you know? I called Rose. I wanted to explain the rumors and apologize to her.”

Lillian wiped her tears. “But Rose was agitated. She kept scolding me, calling me a thief who stole her brooch and her husband… It’s my fault for not being able to withstand provocation… I didn’t expect her to send the recording to Flourish Media…”

Lillian cautiously looked up. “I heard that the chief editor of Flourish Media is Rose’s senior in college. They had the same major.”

Judson’s face darkened.

“Judson, my social media accounts are now controlled by the company.” Lillian pitifully looked at Judson. “Otherwise, I would have explained… Judson, Rose now deeply misunderstands me. What should I do…”

“You haven’t done anything wrong in this matter,” Judson said. His eyes softened as he looked at the pitiful Lillian. “You don’t need to do anything. I will handle it.”
